Maybe I'll do it right this time. |

| So, it's been over a year since my last post (if you could even call it that), and I figured I was about due for one. One of the biggest blunders of the Christian family, if you ask me, is how one can believe so avidly the words of the bible and, at the same time, completely disregard the very thing that Christ describes so clearly throughout the gospel. Love. It can be as simple as a few words of encouragement or a friendly smile, but for some, it seems to be the hardest thing in the world to do. They would rather go through life nipping at the heels of their brothers and sisters; criticizing their every move and never pause to glance into a mirror. Regardless of religion or creed, it's the small, random acts of kindness that make life enjoyable. Much less, tolerable. Often, those acts seem few and far between, and selfishness takes over at an all-time high. The only thing we can do is "keep on keepin' on." Be patient and persevere. Continue to show them unconditional love even when it's hardest to muster up and pray that God will transform their hearts and minds to see the world in a different light. Just one of those things that's consistantly on my mind. I hope that it finds you well and offers even a glimpse of hope or encouragement. I love you all. Ben. |
